RENTON, Wash. (AP) - The Seattle Seahawks have added needed depth on the defensive line by agreeing to terms with free agent defensive tackle Jason Jones.
The team confirmed the agreement Saturday. Terms of the deal were not announced, but Jones' agent, Mike McCartney, said on Twitter the deal is for one-year.
Jones has spent his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans where he had 15 1/2 sacks. He was used as a defensive tackle and end last season, and his versatility fits with Seattle's defensive philosophy. The 6-foot-5, 276-pound Jones started 15 games in 2010 and 13 last season.
