NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Vollmer agreed to a four-year contract worth up to $27 million.

Vollmer will receive $8.25 million in the first year, Rapoport reported.

The Boston Herald reported that Vollmer underwent an offseason arthroscopic procedure on his knee after it caused him trouble through most of season. He also suffered through back pain but missed just one game for a Patriots offensive line that protected quarterback Tom Brady well throughout the season.
