Shaun Phillips claimed by Indianapolis Colts

It didn't take long for Shaun Phillips to settle somewhere.

The Colts on Wednesday claimed the veteran linebacker just a day removed from the Titans waiving him.

Tennessee signed the longtime Chargers pass rusher fresh off a one-year stint with the Broncos, giving him a two-year deal. But during 11 games in Nashville, he only recorded two sacks and 12 tackles.

Though Indianapolis' pass rush hasn't been awful -- it's tied for ninth in the league with 28 sacks -- adding another body to the fray certainly doesn't hurt a team that would likely have to go through Peyton Manning and Tom Brady to reach the Super Bowl (currently, Andrew Luck's bunch would face Alex Smith and the Chiefs in the Wild Card Round).

In a corresponding move, Indy waived linebacker Victor Butler.
