- WACH-TV in Columbia, S.C., looked at the three-year grant given to the University of South Carolina by USA Football to study the types of injuries youth football players suffer. WLTX-TV also looked at the study.
- The College Football Playoff announced it has endorsed the Heads Up Football program and will host moms and kids clinics two days prior to the National Championship Game.
- The Osawatomie Graphic in St. Joseph, Mo., featured a fifth-grade league that has adopted the Heads Up Football program.
- USA Football's Heads Up Football Blog reported that the Heads Up Football program will be made available to Indiana high school football coaches next year by a grant from the Indianapolis Colts.
- USA Football's Health and Safety Blog gave advice on how to deal with a heavily used field.
