Yankey (6-foot-5, 313 pounds) earned All-America recognition at left guard this season, showing off his strength and footwork pulling on the Cardinal's trademark power-run play. Yankey played left tackle as a junior in 2012, also earning All-America honors.

With Yankey stonewalling top Pac-12 defenders such as Will Sutton of Arizona State, Stanford averaged 207 rushing yards per game and allowed the fewest sacks in the Pac-12.

Yankey compares favorably to former Stanford guard David DeCastro, a first-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012.
