Tuesday's health and safety news from the world of football:
- The Baltimore Sun wrote about local efforts to raise money in order to build a statue in honor of Baltimore ColtsHall of Fame running back Lenny Moore.
- The Seattle Seahawks announced a single-day record for cash and cell phone donations as part of the team's Salute to Service activities. In addition to garnering more than $50,000 in cash donations, the team collected more than 1,300 cell phones. The donations go to Cell Phones for Soldiers, which assists active-duty military members and veterans with cost-free communications.
- Former Lingerie Football League player Nikki Johnson recently took to television to air her grievances about safety concerns in women's professional football, writes the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
- Steelers.com reported on Antonio Brown, LaMarr Woodley and several of their Pittsburgh Steelers teammates who were in the community recently participating in Thanksgiving giveaways.
- As Philly.com reports, the NFL will allow tailgating -- in a modified form -- at this year's Super Bowl, as in years past.
