Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley is extremely doubtful to play in Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Browns because of a lingering hamstring injury, according to a league source.
Woodley sat out of the team's practice on Tuesday, a day after Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said the linebacker "might be in play" against the Browns. Tomlin told reporters Woodley "felt a little tweak" in his hamstring but didn't do any major damage in last Sunday's win over Cincinnati.
Linebacker Larry Foote (hamstring) and offensive tackle Ramon Foster (ankle) were among 15 injured players who took part in full practice Tuesday. Linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring), running back Jonathan Dwyer (foot), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) and nose tackle Chris Hoke (neck) did not practice.
Hoke is scheduled to undergo surgery Wednesday and is expected to miss the rest of the season, though the team has not placed him on injured reserve.
