Sunday's desultory performance by the Cowboys offense showed just how valuable Tony Romo is to the team, just in case you didn't realize it already. It sounds like Romo won't be out much longer.
Romo will be on the team plane to London this week, where the Cowboys will face the Jaguars.
"I do see him playing," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told NFL Network's Desmond Purnell. "He's going on the trip to London, and logic tells you that we wouldn't have him make that trip to London and back if we didn't think he was going to play, so it does depend on the type of week he has at practice. But if he has the week we expect, he should be our quarterback."
Now 6-3 after the team's loss to Arizona, the Cowboys have fallen out of first place in the NFC East. They need every win they can get in a brutally deep NFC playoff race, and it could be tough to win any game with Brandon Weeden at quarterback. Jones was asked to describe the Cowboys offense Sunday.
"Very limited today. I'm surprised it was that limited," Jones said.
