Tarvaris Jackson, Arizona Cardinals a possible match?

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson is reportedly on the trade block. He won't be easy to move because of his salary, but he could upgrade some team's depth chart. (Possibly as a backup.)

With that in mind, the following tweet from Sports Illustrated's Jim Trotter raised our collective eyebrow Wednesday afternoon.

This might be nothing more than a fun speculation, but it's not too difficult to connect the dots here. Trotter is tight with Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Jackson works out in the offseason in Minnesota with Fitzgerald. (AZCardinals.com also pointed out the Tarvaris-Fitzgerald connection.)

Jackson and the Cardinals are an unlikely match. The Seahawks might not want to trade inside the division, and adding Jackson would only make sense if the Cardinals cut one of their veteran quarterbacks. (The team wants to keep rookie Ryan Lindley.)

It's also silly to put too much stock into what players want. After all, it wasn't so long ago that Fitzgerald was pushing to bring in Kevin Kolb.
