The results are in from the second opinion on Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Terrell Suggs' torn right biceps.
Sources tell the Baltimore Sun that Suggs is not planning to undergo surgery to repair the injury "at this point."
Suggs played through the injury after originally tearing the muscle in a Week 13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has consistently maintained that offseason surgery was a possibility, but wanted a second opinion to gauge whether it could be rehabilitated instead.
The 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year was one of a handful of players, including Karlos Dansby of the Miami Dolphins, to fight through a torn biceps injury this past season. Had Suggs opted for surgery to correct the problem in early December, it's fair to wonder if it would have cost the Ravens their second Lombardi Trophy.
There will be added pressure on Suggs to return to peak form for the 2013 season with free agent Paul Kruger's Baltimore future in doubt.
