Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor returned to practice Thursday, but he's fighting a losing battle to gain clearance from his concussion in time for Sunday's game versus the Washington Redskins.
Pryor watched from the sidelines without a helmet as Matt Flynn handled the first-team reps during the media-access portion of Thursday's practice, according to CSN Bay Area.

As Flynn handles the installation of the Week 4 game plan, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Pryor is unlikely to play against the Redskins.
"There's still some hurdles that he has to clear but he was cleared to go ahead and non-contact practice," Raiders coach Dennis Allen told reporters Thursday, via ESPN.com. "He was able to get in there and practice some on a limited basis today."
Pryor has been one of the NFL's early-season surprises, lending respectability to the Raiders' offense even in the team's two losses.
If Flynn gets the start, it's welcome news for the Redskins' overmatched defense.
