Johnson's style has made him a fan favorite for calling NFL and basketball games because he gets caught up in the action, just like the rest of us.
One of the prime examples of Johnson's work is the above video, a call of the Jaguars' Week 10 victory over the Texans on a Hail Mary pass from David Garrard that deflected to Mike Thomas for a touchdown.
Stoked about Stokley
One of the more amazing plays of the entire 2009 season -- let alone Week 1 of that campaign -- was Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley's catch-and-run touchdown of a deflected pass with 11 seconds left to lift the Broncos over the Bengals. And Johnson was there with Dan Fouts to describe every moment of it.
Andre's giant catch
Who caught quarterback Matt Schaub's improvisational dart with 28 seconds left in the end zone to lift the Texans over the visiting Chiefs during a Week 6 matchup in 2010? An! Dre! Johnson! That's who.
'Big fella' with football!
"Look at the big fella! Oh Keisel!" And so it went during Week 3 of the 2010 season, when Steelers big-heavy Brett Keisel and his "fast feet" nabbed a tipped Josh Freeman pass and returned it 79 yards for a touchdown at Tampa.
Houston, we have liftoff
Proving that he delivers every week, Johnson remained in peak form during Week 4 of 2010, calling this breath-taking, 74-yard touchdown run by Arian Foster in the Texans' game against the Raiders. "Coach, put me in the game!" Indeed.

Even a third-quarter touchdown run during a Week 8 game (this one in 2009) can be made compelling by Johnson, whose call of "Watch out! He's got getting-away-from-the-cops speed!" on Chris Johnson's 52-yard dash against the Jaguars later was accompanied by an apology.
