As the 10th anniversary of Pat Tillman's death approaches this week, the former NFL safety and Army Ranger was the subject of a number of media reports this weekend. Those reports include:
- The San Jose Mercury News reported on the Tillman Military Scholars, which is funded by the Pat Tillman Foundation. Tillman grew up in San Jose.
- The Arizona Republic profiled his widow, Mary Tillman, who says she is at peace with her late husband's death. Tillman played at Arizona State and for the Arizona Cardinals. ASU is the home of Saturday's Pat's Run, a 4.2-mile run to honor his legacy.
- Also, Fox Sports via ESPN's Outside The Lines reported that a former platoon member believes he was responsible for the friendly fire that killed Pat Tillman in Afghanistan.
