Tim Tebow isn't drawing San Diego Chargers' interest

We made a list of possible landing spots for former New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow earlier this week. Now that he's cleared waivers, he's free to sign anywhere.

One of the more promising potential homes for him was the San Diego Chargers, but it sounds like a reunion with his former offensive coordinator on the Denver Broncos, Chargers head coach Mike McCoy, isn't going to happen. KLSD-AM in San Diego asked Chargers general manager Tom Telesco if they would bring in Tebow for a visit (as pointed out by ProFootballTalk.com).

"We're really happy with the two quarterbacks we have, and we drafted one in the seventh round that we think has developmental upside, so we're happy with our three quarterbacks right now," Telesco said.

Translation: No chance (but we're more polite about it than the Jacksonville Jaguars, who released a statement saying they didn't want Tebow).

Reports have surfaced that other possible landing spots like the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks won't happen. The New England Patriots, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins haven't been shot down yet. We still think Tebow will find a gig in the United States as a quarterback. And not as a member of the Omaha Beef.
