Trey Erwin, a 15-year-old Tennessee football player, died of pancreatic cancer Thursday.
Erwin's story touched an entire region that learned about him after he found out he had six months to live. His diagnosis sparked a "Pray for Trey" social media movement, T-shirts, armbands and a song. New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was among those Erwin touched.
Erwin wrote about a conversation with Tebow back in May.
