Titans agree to terms with sixth-round pick Filani

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms today with wide receiver Joel Filani, a sixth-round selection in the 2007 draft.

Filani, the 188th overall draft selection, was drafted out of Texas Tech, where he became one of the university's all-time leading receivers. He ranks at or near the top of the Red Raiders' all-time career leaders in each of the major receiving categories, placing eighth in career receptions (175), sixth in career receiving yardage (2,667), and second in career touchdown receptions (23). As a senior, he recorded 91 receptions for a school-record 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns (tied school record).

The Titans now have reached agreements with a total of six of their 10 draft choices. Offensive lineman Leroy Harris, defensive tackle Antonio Johnson, cornerback Ryan Smith, defensive end Jacob Ford and wide receiver Chris Davis had previously agreed to terms with the club.
