The Tennessee Titans continue to stockpile veteran defensive assets.
The Titans announced Friday they've struck a deal with ex-Arizona Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson.
Johnson was ranked No. 58 overall on Around The NFL's top 99 free agents list.
The 30-year-old safety started 14 games last season, compiling 61 tackles and five interceptions. Johnson's departure from Arizona was expected after the team signed Tyvon Branch.
Johnson will take the place of safety Michael Griffin, who was released this offseason. The veteran is a replacement-level talent at this stage, but adds another veteran with flexibility to Tennessee's secondary. The Titans also signed cornerbacks Brice McCain and Antwon Blake this offseason.
