Tom Brady's mother gets Super Bowl ring from Pats

There are many factors that made Super Bowl LI arguably the peak of Tom Brady's legendary career (at least, so far). Trying circumstances off the field only added to emotion of the Patriots' unlikely victory.

Brady's mother, Galynn, battled cancer throughout the 2016 season. The fight had caused her to miss all of her son's games last season, save one -- Super Bowl LI in Houston.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft surprised the Brady clan this offseason by giving Galynn a Super Bowl ring.

"He's been so supportive of my family and certainly everything my mom went through and knowing first-hand how families deal with it," Brady told ESPN on Friday. "He was always asking, 'How's mom doing? How is she feeling?' We didn't know up until the very end whether she was going to make it to the Super Bowl. She was a big inspiration for me, and RKK knew it. It was a great surprise to all of us when the ring showed up. She deserves it."

Kraft and Brady have an extremely close relationship. This gesture illustrates that.
