Hall pass for Holt?
Torry Holt was one of the most prolific playmakers of his era, but will the Rams great get lost in the shuffle of wideouts waiting for induction into the Hall of Fame? **More ...**
"This is something I wanted to happen," Holt announced on NFL Network's "Total Access" on Wednesday. "I got drafted by the Rams in '99. I've always wanted to go back and retire at the place I played at, and the Rams have granted me this opportunity. Next week, I'll sign a one-day contract, and then after that, we'll have a press conference and I'll announce my retirement officially."
Holt played in St. Louis from 1999 to 2008, then spent his final NFL season in Jacksonville, finishing his career with 920 receptions for 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns. He now works as an NFL Network analyst.
