The Indianapolis Colts continue to stockpile weapons for their receiving corps.
The team announced Tuesday it signed wide receiver Vincent Brown.
The pass-catcher appeared in seven games in 2014 with the Oakland Raiders and caught 12 passes for 118 yards. After missing the entire 2012 season due to an ankle injury, the 26-year-old started 12 games in 2013 for the San Diego Chargers and caught 41 passes for 472 yards and one touchdown.
Brown joins a stacked receiving group in Indy, led by Pro Bowler T.Y. Hilton, newly signed Andre Johnson and up-and-coming Donte Moncrief.
Other transactions that took place today:
»Linebacker Desmond Bishop re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers, the team announced. The 30-year-old played the final two games of the 2014 season with the Niners after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals early in the year. With the lack of inside linebacker depth, Bishop could have a chance at playing time while contributing on special teams.
»The Baltimore Ravens inked quarterback Matt Schaub to a one-year deal worth $3 million.
»The Carolina Panthers signed linebacker Jason Trusnik to a one-year contract. The eight-year run-stopping linebacker will add depth in Charlotte and can help the Panthers' special teams unit.
»Former Mr. Irrelevant, Chandler Harnish, signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals. The quarterback is likely just an offseason arm while the Cards' signal-caller group heals. Harnish worked under Bruce Arians after being drafted by the Colts in 2012.
