Representatives from 18 NFL teams were present for Central Michigan's pro day on Friday, when 14 players worked out indoors on FieldTurf.
Wide receiver Titus Davis (6-foot 1/8, 200 pounds) stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. Davis had a good pro-day workout, running and catching the ball well. Davis holds the Chippewas' career receiving records for yards (3,700) and touchdowns (37), which is impressive given that CMU produced Pittsburgh SteelersPro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown (a sixth-round pick,/a> in the 2010 NFL Draft).
Defensive tackle Leterrius Walton (6-5, 315) stood on his combine numbers, and put forth a really good pro day workout. At the combine, Walton ran a 5.25-second 40-yard dash, which is pretty good for a 315-pounder. Walton is athletic and moves well for a guy of his size.
Running back Thomas Rawls (5-8 3/4, 213) ran the 40 in 4.42 and 4.5 seconds, which was better than the time he posted at the combine. He had a three-cone time of 7.12 seconds and did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.4 seconds. Rawls caught the ball well out of the backfield during the positional workout and made a nice impression on the scouts present for the pro day.
