New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is a go.
The three-time Super Bowl winner was listed as probable for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills with a left shoulder injury, but that won't stop him from taking the field in an attempt to secure the No. 1 seed throughout the AFC playoffs.
NFL Network's Albert Breer cited a source with knowledge of the situation to report Friday that Brady's injury, suffered last Saturday against the Miami Dolphins, is categorized as a sprain, but it's more a matter of "pain control" for the quarterback.
Patriots running back Shane Vereen also is inactive with a hamstring injury.
Safety Patrick Chung and linebacker Brandon Spikes are active for the Patriots for the first time in eight games. Chung had been sidelined with a foot injury and Spikes with a knee injury. The return of the two starters Sunday boosts the struggling defense. Guard Logan Mankins is inactive because of a knee injury.
Notable Bills inactives include wide receiver Brad Smith (hamstring), offensive linemen Kraig Urbik (right knee) and Demetrius Bell (knee/ankle).
