New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck said Monday that he hurt his toe during the week and might miss the team's game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
Tuck told 660-AM in New York that he gutted out the Giants' 37-34 victory over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night.
"For the most point I felt I was out there just to be the fourth man on the line," Tuck said, according to the New York Post. "I was out there playing on one leg, just trying to fight through it."
Tuck said he was waiting for the results of an MRI, and had "no clue" whether he'd be able to play against the Redskins.
One thing Tuck did know, though, was how fortunate the Giants are to have Jason Pierre-Paul on the team. The second-year defensive end had a safety, a forced fumble, and blocked a 47-yard field goal attempt that would have sent the game into overtime.
"Best game he's played in his career," Tuck said. "He's starting to become a superstar."
