UCLA head coach Jim Mora stormed out of a press conference Monday afternoon, upset that a TV technician was talking on his cell phone while Mora reflected on the passing of walk-on wide receiver Nick Pasquale.
Mora told the TV technician to "shut up" and said that he was being disrespectful. The press conference is scheduled to be Mora's only media availability this week. Mora later met with the beat writers that cover the team on a daily basis.
Pasquale, 20, died Sunday morning after being hit by a car while walking in his hometown of San Clemente, Calif. A graduate of San Clemente High, Pasquale was in his second season with the Bruins and had made his first career appearance in a college game during a 58-20 win over Nevada on Aug. 31.
