After appearing in his first career Super Bowl with the Carolina Panthers last season, Cortland Finnegan has decided to join forces with an NFC South rival for the upcoming campaign.
The 32-year-old cornerback has signed with the New Orleans Saints, a source informed of his situation told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. NFL Media's Rand Getlin reported earlier that the veteran visited the Saints on Friday with the expectation of signing with the team.
The Saints allowed 284 passing yards per game last season, the second most in the league. Adding another piece to their secondary rebuild can only help at this point.
