Vikings' Bridgewater planning to play vs. Chargers

Panic over Teddy Bridgewater's shoulder can be put to bed.

The Vikings quarterback told reporters on Wednesday that he's planning to play in Minnesota's third preseason game on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.

Bridgewater resumed throwing Tuesday after sitting out last week's preseason tilt against the Seahawks with a shoulder issue.

"I feel good. I feel very good," Bridgewater said Wednesday, per ESPN's Ben Goessling.

While he refrained from throwing the deep ball on Tuesday, Bridgewater stressed that he's received enough work this week to run Minnesota's offense as needed. Play-caller Norv Turner backed that up Wednesday, saying the signal-caller threw every ball they wanted him to throw.

Semantics aside, the main takeaway here is that his shoulder doesn't appear to be a legitimate setback two-plus weeks before the start of the season.
