Vikings DE Edwards out, but DT Pat Williams might play vs. Eagles

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards will miss Sunday's NFC wild-card game with a knee injury, but the team hopes Pro Bowl defensive tackle Pat Williams will return after missing two games with a fractured shoulder.

Vikings coach Brad Childress said he saw good progress from Williams all week in practice. Childress said Williams, who's listed as questionable, will be a game-time decision against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Williams said he "feels good" and sees his ability to lift weights as a good sign. He isn't concerned about further injury.

"If you get hurt, you get hurt," he said.

Edwards started 15 games during the regular season and had 54 tackles and five sacks.

Right tackle Artis Hicks and wide receiver Bernard Berrian are listed as probable for Sunday's game with minor injuries.
