Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III voted Week 11 Pepsi MAX NFL Rookie of the Week

Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Quarterback Robert Griffin III of the Washington Redskins is the PEPSI MAX NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on November 15-19, the NFL announced today.

Griffin III completed 14 of 15 passes and four touchdowns, finishing his day with a 158.3 passer rating. Griffin III also picked up 84 yards on the ground as the Redskins beat the Philadelphia Eagles 31-6.

Griffin III was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com/rookies. The other finalists were wide receiver Justin Blackmon of the Jacksonville Jaguars, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard of the New England Patriots, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton of the Indianapolis Colts and running back Doug Martin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi MAX NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The Pepsi MAX NFL Rookie of the Year will be announced at the second annual "NFL Honors" awards show in New Orleans on Saturday, February 2, the night before Super Bowl XLVII.

This is Pepsi's eleventh year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL and the eleventh year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.

PEPSI ROOKIE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Justin Blackmon, Jacksonville Jaguars

Blackmon caught seven passes for 236 yards and one touchdown in the Jaguars' 43-37 overtime loss to the Houston Texans.

Alfonzo Dennard, New England Patriots

Dennard recorded four tackles as well as intercepting one pass and returning it 87 yards for a score in the Patriots' 59-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins

RG3 completed 14 of 15 passes with four touchdowns, finishing his day with a 158.3 passer rating. Griffin also picked up 84 yards on the ground as the Redskins beat the Philadelphia Eagles 31-6.

T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts

Hilton caught six passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 59-24 loss to the Patriots.

Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Martin gained 138 yards on 24 carries in the Buccaneers' 27-21 overtime win against the Carolina Panthers.
