Thaddeus Moss, the son of former All-Pro wide receiver Randy Moss, is drawing plenty of attention from major college football programs as a recruit. He's doing it not at his father's position, however, but as a 6-foot-4, 240-pound tight end.
There's a little less flash in his game than his famous father brought, but a lot more power:
In pursuit of Moss, who plays at Charlotte Mallard Creek High, are Georgia, USC, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Arizona State and UCLA. That's as wide a geographical spread of contenders, even for an recruit. But it's not as though he hasn't seen every part of the country as the son of a well-traveled 16-year NFL veteran. Randy Moss played for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and finally San Francisco 49ers before retiring after the 2012 season.
Moss is part of the 2016 recruiting class, so he could be on the field for one of the nation's top college programs as early as next fall.
