Webster leaves Seahawks for Titans' VP of player personnel job

SEATTLE -- The Seahawks said Friday that their vice president of player personnel, Ruston Webster, has joined the Tennessee Titans in a similar role.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider said in a statement that Webster played a key role in this year's draft and he wishes him well.

Webster came to Seattle in 2006 after 18 years in Tampa Bay, where he worked with former Seahawks president Tim Ruskell from 1988 to 2002. Ruskell was forced to resign in December, and Webster served as interim GM until Schneider was hired in mid-January.
