Week 9 fantasy football #KABOOM winners

Each week, we at NFL fantasy like to bestow #KABOOM awards on the top players at each position that deliver monster performances for their fantasy owners. Week 9 had no shortage of star performers and surprises, but there were a few players in particular who deserve the nod for dominating their position: Ben Roethlisberger, Jeremy Hill, Jeremy Maclin and Rob Gronkowski.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers -- 35.70 fantasy points

OK, Big Ben, we see you now. I guess all it took was for you to set an NFL record with the most touchdown passes in a two-game span with 12, breaking the previous record of 11 shared by two players. Roethlisberger scored 103.82 fantasy points combined in his first seven games, but has dropped a whopping 80.48 over the last two. That's how you win back-to-back #KABOOM awards at quarterback, kids.

Jeremy Hill, RB, Cincinnati Bengals -- 28.30 fantasy points

Fantasy owners who were holding onto Hill all season long finally received their reward on Sunday when Hill got the start in place of the injured Giovani Bernard. Hill rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday against the Jaguars for a fantastic 28.30 fantasy points. Hill's 154 rushing yards were more than Bernard's career-high, which was 137 set back in Week 6 of this season. Hill owners might get one more week of this type of production as well, as Bernard might be hard-pressed to play on Thursday night as he recovers from his hip pointer injury.

Jeremy Maclin, WR, Philadelphia Eagles -- 27.80 fantasy points

Maclin has caught fire as of late, posting 345 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns over the last two weeks. Oh, and he joins Big Ben as another back-to-back #KABOOM award winner this week. It was encouraging that Maclin didn't lose a step after Nick Foles went down with his collarbone injury, as Mark Sanchez still found Maclin on a deep bomb and in the end zone on separate passes against the Texans.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots -- 18.50 fantasy points

Man, each week Gronk seems to be getting better and better. While his stat line wasn't as outrageously dominant as last week, Gronk's play on the field was even better. Did you see his insane one-handed catch yesterday? If not, I've included it to the right for your viewing pleasure. This likely isn't the last time we'll see Gronk in this #KABOOM column as he and Tom Brady continue to get more in sync.
