St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, but that might be an optimistic viewpoint.
The biggest sign pointing toward Bradford potentially sitting out is that the Rams activated quarterback Tim Brandstater from the practice squad on Saturday, giving the team a third quarterback on the active roster behind A.J. Feeley.
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Bradford would be a game-time decision against the 49ers after he was very limited in Friday's practice. That assessment came after Bradford, who aggravated a high left ankle sprain in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, suffered a setback and sat out Thursday's practice.
Feeley took first-team reps this week and would start in the absence of Bradford. Feeley started two games earlier this season when Bradford was initially sidelined by the injury.
The Rams released linebacker Ben Leber to create a roster spot for Brandstater.
