10 reasons to keep playing fantasy football
Did your fantasy football season end too soon? Were you left to dwell on a lost campaign after Peyton Manning smashed your postseason hopes and dreams (not that I'm bitter)? Well, your fantasy season doesn't have to end. Find out why you should still be involved in fantasy football right here on NFL.com!

Fantasy football is far and away the best fantasy sport on this big, blue marble, but it's also the one with the shortest time span. You're playing in 13-14 fantasy games and if you're lucky, your team makes it to the championship in Week 16. But if you're a smart owner you know how to extend your fantasy football experience into the playoffs and all the way into the Super Bowl (see, that's what's called a tease).

Tons of MLB stars, like Adam Wainwright, play fantasy football. But we all have to wait a few more months before we even think about picking him in our fantasy baseball drafts. So why not keep the fantasy football excitement going as long as possible? Let's be honest, any day without playing a fantasy sport just isn't the same. So ... keep the bridge to fantasy baseball season with a postseason football league!

If you're not paying attention to the NFL or fantasy football, you miss out on the lovely ladies who are cheering on their team on the sidelines. Alright so cheerleaders really have nothing to do with fantasy football, but really is there any reason not to show more cheerleaders? Well, I guess you can cheer for your fantasy football teams but you get the point. Cheerleaders rule. Enjoy.

Admit it. If you're a fantasy football freak, chances are you have seen all of the "Star Wars" movies (even "The Phantom Menace") at least 10 times in your life. So, you need to kill some time before you see Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher come back in their famous roles of Han Solo and the Skywalker twins! I wonder if there was fantasy football on Coruscant. A fantasy guru Yoda would have been!

We all love the NFL. Heck, I have been a fan since 1980 when I was eight years old watching Danny White, Tony Dorsett and the Dallas Cowboys. But for the fantasy sports generation can you imagine watching games without there being some sort of fantasy involvement? I don't know about you but I can't. Fantasy sports makes reality sports that much more enjoyable for fans. It's not going away!

If you're like me and a lot of owners you play in a seasonal fantasy league that involves a lot of the same people year in and year out. So why not make every week of the fantasy football postseason matter even if it doesn't affect the current campaign? You can follow Major League Baseball's All Star Game method and use a postseason fantasy league as a way of determining your 2015 draft order.

Was Jimmy Graham your first-round pick back in the summer? Did you roll the dice on Montee Ball and Zac Stacy as your top two running backs? Seemed like a good idea at the time, but we all know how that trio performed (or didn't perform) during the course of the season. Yeah, not good. As a consolation, get your buddies back together and play in a postseason fantasy league. A win is a win right?

I say it all the time ... non-elite players who finish the current campaign on a high note will be in prime position to become attractive sleepers for the following campaign. So keep watching, keep playing and stay ahead of the competition. How will Jeremy Hill perform in the postseason? It's also smart to keep tabs on players who could be hitting the cliff ... I'm looking right at you, Peyton.

There are a ton of platforms out there where you can continue to participate in daily fantasy leagues. There's no draft, and instead you set a lineup for a given week (or day) based on a salary cap and values tagged to every player who is still alive in the NFL postseason. These daily leagues are going to be all the rage as fans look for that next challenge to their fantasy knowledge and skills.

Just because the NFL's regular season is over the fantasy football fun doesn't have to be. You can still play the NFL Playoff Challenge for a chance to attend Super Bowl 50, which is scheduled to take place in February 2016 in Santa Clara, California. Imagine being live at the game for the 50th Anniversary of the greatest championship in sports! It doesn't have to be a fantasy, my friends ...
