Touring forward operating bases in a war zone involves the logistics of transporting this NFL/USO tour party over fairly long distances safely. The rapid growth of Bagram Air Field has led to the emergence of USO Bagram East, the ninth USO center in Afghanistan and the second USO center at Bagram. This new center offers troops serving in one the most remote and harshest terrains a touch of home and an opportunity to connect with their loved ones.
