Best Sixth Round Ever
Best Sixth Round Ever

The Patriots got a bargain when they selected Tom Brady with the 199th pick in the 2000 draft. With one league MVP award and two Super Bowl MVPs, Brady is arguably the greatest player selected on the draft's second day. (Photo by Nick Laham/Getty Images)

Adalius Thomas was a rookie on the Ravens team that won Super XXXV over the Giants and generally watched from the sidelines. He really took off in his third year with Baltimore, scoring a touchdown and compiling 52 tackles. Over the next four years with the Ravens, he amassed 32 sacks, four interceptions, two touchdowns and a safety. He now plays with the Patriots after signing with them as a free agent in 2007. Paul Edinger was a staple in the Bears kicking game starting in his rookie season. Over his first four years, Edinger connected on 95-of-122 field goals, kicking often in difficult weather conditions at Chicago. Known for his unorthodox kicking style, Edinger was also adept at long field goals, making a 50-plus yard field goal in all but one of his six seasons. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images).

Dhani Jones started 74 of 80 games after spending his first two years in the league on the Giants bench. Drafted by New York, Jones enjoyed a career year there in 2003, starting all 16 games and piling up 120 tackles and tallying three sacks. He then moved on to Philadelphia as a free agent where he played three years, never getting less than 70 tackles. (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images)

Jeno James was largely a non-factor during his first three seasons with Carolina. In the fourth year however, he started all 16 games for the NFC champion Panthers. He moved on to Miami for the next three seasons, starting 39 games for the Dolphins. (Photo by Doug Benc/Getty Images)

Mike Anderson burst onto the scene in his rookie year with the Broncos, starting 12 games and compiling 1,487 rushing yards. It was one of the best seasons ever for a first-year running back. Anderson was slowed by injuries over his next four years in Denver, but came back with his second 1,000-yard season in 2005, and ran for 12 touchdowns that year as well. Anderson joined the Ravens in 2006 and was a key reserve for Baltimore. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images)

Matt Bowen was mostly a special teams ace throughout his eight-year career, but in his one season as a starting safety with the Redskins in 2003 he put up big numbers. Bowen had 83 tackles, four passes defensed and three interceptions that year. (Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images)

The second pick of the sixth round, Marc Bulger was originally drafted by the Saints. He ended up landing in St. Louis as the backup to Kurt Warner and when Warner went down with an injury in 2002, Bulger got his chance. He made the most of that opportunity and is entrenched as the Rams starter. He has appeared in three Pro Bowls and was the MVP of that game in 2004. He is widely considered to be among the best quarterbacks in the NFC. (Photo by Greg Trott/Getty Images)

Neil Rackers was drafted by the Bengals and spent his first three years in Cincinnati. After a rocky start in which he made only 29 of 49 field goal attempts in his first two seasons, Rackers has been one of the best kickers in the NFL since. In his fourth year, Rackers went to Arizona and his career took off. He made the Pro Bowl in 2006, following an outstanding season that saw him make 40-of-42 field goals with a long from 54 yards out. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images)

Robaire Smith was largely a non-factor during his first three seasons after being drafted by the Titans, but he became a regular starter in 2003. He has not relinquished his starting position since and has put up impressive numbers with the Titans, Texans and Browns. In 2005 with Houston he enjoyed his best year, notching a career-high 68 tackles with four passes defensed. (Photo by Stephen Dunn/Getty Images)
