Fantasy Football Stockwatch: Week 15
Fantasy playoffs are in full swing regardless of your league's setup. Not that we need to tell you, but lineup decisions become much more critical as we reach the crescendo of the season. Of course, the Stock Watch remains steadfast in helping you get all of the necessary information to make the best possible decisions. Here we go!

The toe injury that kept Jones out of last week's contest is going to do the same again this week when the Falcons take on the 49ers. Atlanta was hoping to get its star receiver back on the field, but head coach Dan Quinn didn't want to take any risks unless Jones was fully healthy. With an awful Niners defense on tap, it makes sense for the playmaker to sit out another week, though fantasy owners are now left scrambling.

For the past couple of weeks, we've advocated grabbing the handcuffs to your starting fantasy running backs. Sunday's injury to Melvin Gordon underscored why. If you were able to survive that, then hopefully you grabbed Farrow off the waiver wire. He'll see a pretty heavy workload this week (it remains to be seen how much Ronnie Hillman might be involved) and gets to face a Raiders run defense that has been gashed pretty regularly all season.

The veteran receiver has had a frustrating season and now is dealing with a litany of injuries that is expected to put him on a "pitch count" for Saturday's game against the Dolphins. Combine that with quarterback Bryce Petty seeming to have a better rapport with Robby Anderson and things are looking down for Marshall this week.

With Michael Floyd no longer in Arizona, Nelson is the next man up in the Cardinals receiving corps. The speedy receiver scored two touchdowns on just two touches last week and is likely to see a sharp increase in snaps this week versus the Saints. We'll have to see if it means more targets and touches in an offense that is still struggling to find its way, but if nothing else, consider this a potential audition for next year.

Yes, note the change of positional designation next to his name. That's all I'm saying about that. What I will say about it is that with James Starks in concussion protocol and Christine Michael struggling to pick up the offense, Montgomery could see a pretty solid workload against the Bears on Sunday.

Forte was diagnosed with a torn meniscus earlier in the week but has continued to try and work in Jets practices. The team is considering him a game-time decision as they evaluate the veteran running back. If Forte is unable to fulfill his duties as the starting running back, then Bilal Powell will once again see plenty of opportunities.

Mathews has run hard all season long yet has been unable to escape a committee in Philadelphia. Things could change this week with Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood likely unavailable. Kenjon Barner should see some work but it's likely to be Mathews' show in the backfield. Add to it that the Eagles would like for Carson Wentz to throw the ball less, which means more emphasis on the ground game.

The foot injury that caused Wilson to miss the first couple months of the season has reared its ugly head yet again. This time, there is concern that this injury could keep him out for the remainder of the season. No Bears receiver has really established himself in the past few weeks, so Wilson's absence leave the door open for any number of players to step up -- including the returning Alshon Jeffery.

The A.J. Green watch continues as the Bengals star receiver is back at practice, though in a limited capacity. It's still unclear if Green is going to be back in action this week against the Steelers, but it appears that a return could happen very soon ... perhaps next week. If your fantasy squad can exist until next week, getting Green back would be a great weapon heading into the championship week.

After missing a week with an oblique injury, Green-Beckham is back and practicing fully this week. DGB has been a bigger part of the Eagles passing game in the second half of the season and is a much-needed option on the outside. That's the good news. The bad news is that if Carson Wentz is throwing the less this week, it will mean fewer opportunities for the second-year receiver.
