Fantasy Franchise Tag lineup: Week 14
My nickname around the NFL Media office is "Franchise" and every week I deliver my "Fantasy Franchise Tag" lineup to help give you that boost of confidence you need to start some players on your fantasy roster you might be wondering about. Be sure to check out my full positional player rankings, and if you're all up on the Twitter, be sure to send me some feedback or ask me lineup questions @MattFranchise.

Fantasy owners who benched Tyrod Taylor last week for other quarterbacks with seemingly good matchups (Jay Cutler, Derek Carr) were kicking themselves after the Bills signal caller posted his second straight 26-point outing. Taylor has tossed six touchdown passes in his last two contests and even ran one in himself last week (he's been known to do that). With Taylor and Sammy Watkins finally on the same page, there may be no stopping this duo, especially against a horrible Eagles pass defense.

I've been a Miller believer all year, and while he's had his ups and downs while the Dolphins have struggled to find an identity on offense, the running back returned to his productive ways with 113 yards on 20 carries last week. He should be able to have another nice outing, especially as a pass catcher, against a Giants defense that's allowing a historically bad amount of yards per game to opposing teams this season.

Forte is firmly back on the RB1 radar after his 26-touch outing against the 49ers last week. Jeremy Langford may siphon some work from the veteran going forward, but this heavy workload for Forte was an indication that the Bears intend to use him as a feature back and not roll with the dreaded committee. Despite Langford's success while Forte was out, the veteran will remain in the top 5 of my running back ranks for the rest of the season.

If you watched the Steelers play in recent weeks then you've come to terms with the wonderful fact that it's only a matter of time until Ben Roethlisberger launches a deep ball to Martavis Bryant. He has touchdown receptions of 88, 68 and 19 yards this season and is averaging 89 yards per game. The way Pittsburgh's offense is firing right now, there's absolutely no reason that Martavis should be on your fantasy bench.

Sammy Watkins has caught fire of late. Since the Bills' Monday night loss to the Patriots in Week 11, after which the team made an effort to get their No. 1 wideout more involved, Tyrod Taylor has targeted Watkins 14 times. Those 14 targets have resulted in nine catches for 267 yards and three touchdowns. The Eagles poor pass defense should allow Watkins to enjoy another productive game on Sunday too. In the last five games, Philly's defense has given up 18 passing touchdowns and a 107.9 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks.

Who else does Philip Rivers have to throw to? Seriously. Keenan Allen has been done for weeks. Steve Johnson left last week's game early with a groin injury and is questionable for this week's contest. Dontrelle Inman will likely be out with a neck injury. Malcom Floyd is basically playing with one good arm. Javontee Herndon is a rookie with eight NFL catches to his name. The Chargers signed 34-year-old Vincent Brown on Tuesday and Rivers is familiar with him, but it's unknown if he'll play. So that leaves trusty tight end Antonio Gates as a candidate for a high volume workload against the Chiefs.

The second-year tight end returned last week after an extended absence due to a shoulder injury. He was targeted 6 times in his return, second only to Mike Evans. No team has allowed more fantasy points to tight ends than ASJ's opponent, the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have surrendered over 1,000 yards to the position (yes over ONE THOUSAND) and 10 touchdowns this season. ASJ will be a great value play in DFS and could go off if the Bucs find themselves in the red zone often.

The Packers take on the Cowboys at Lambeau this weekend. Dallas' defense is bad, and the unit has allowed more fantasy points to kickers than any other team this season. I'm just spit-balling here, but I have an inkling that Green Bay has new life after their last-second miracle in Motown last week. Fire up Crosby with confidence against the Cowboys.

The Lions take on the Rams this week. The Rams average 15.8 points per game, 296.3 total yards per game (that's all very, very bad), and couldn't convert on third down if their season depended on it. Don't let last week's loss to Green Bay scare you away from the Lions D/ST this week, the unit will definitely produce for fantasy owners.
