Fantasy Franchise Tag lineup: Week 16
My nickname around the NFL Media office is "Franchise" and every week I deliver my "Fantasy Franchise Tag" lineup to help give you that boost of confidence you need to start some players on your fantasy roster you might be wondering about or that I think will have a big fantasy day. Be sure to check out my full positional player rankings, and if you're all up on the Twitter, be sure to send me some feedback or ask me lineup questions @MattFranchise.

Despite his early season struggles, Stafford's been a legitimate fantasy quarterback in recent weeks. In the last month, he's scored enough fantasy points to rank among the top 10 signal callers and has even recorded more points than Ben Roethlisberger. Under the direction of new offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, Stafford has spread the ball around and has put up 12 touchdown passes in the last four games. He is a solid candidate for his second-straight 20 point outing against San Francisco on Sunday.

This one is more based out our consensus player rankings for the week than anything else. I'm the only ranker of our group that has Forte inside my top five running backs for championship week, and for good reason. He's the fourth-highest scoring fantasy runner over the last month and despite the increased role of rookie Jeremy Langford, Forte has still been able to produce. He's scored double-digits in each of his last three games and should be able to keep rolling against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Melvin Gordon is on injured reserve which leaves Danny Woodhead as the top option out of the San Diego backfield on Thursday night. We saw what he could do with an increased role against Miami last week (four touchdowns, 30 fantasy points) and is basically unstoppable in the red zone. Make sure Woodhead is in your starting lineup against the Raiders on Christmas Eve and expect to jump out to an early lead in your fantasy championship.

It's the final week for my Franchise Tags of the 2015 season, so why not go with one of the guys I've been endorsing all season. Aiken exploded for 128 yards and a score last week thanks to a Hail Mary touchdown reception against Kansas City and was targeted 12 times in the game by Jimmy Clausen. We know the Steelers' secondary can be had by wideouts as we saw last week (and for most of the season) and this game script should be in the Baltimore receiver's favor. Fire up Aiken to win your league.

With 20-plus fantasy points in three consecutive games, why would you move away from Carolina's deep threat now? You might argue that he's a candidate for regression this week which is a valid point, but lest we forget that the best game of his current hot streak was against Atlanta in Week 14 when he had 120 yards and two touchdowns on a mere two catches. Ginn is averaging nine targets per game the last three weeks, and there's no reason that will change this week as the Panthers look to remain undefeated. He got you this far, so start him again and enjoy the ride.

Thomas has been on a roll with four touchdowns in his last five games. He's recorded the most receptions in the last month among Jaguars pass-catchers (22) and is second to only Allen Robinson in both targets and receiving yards in that span. With Jacksonville's tendency to pass rather than run in the red zone, Thomas is always a threat to score and should be considered a top five option at tight end this weekend against the Saints.

The Jets face New England on Sunday in what is a must-win game for New York. If Chris Ivory can't get going early against a Patriots defense that has been tough against the run this season (95.8 rush yards per game), it wouldn't be shocking if the Jets rolled with the hot hand of Powell, especially if they're down in the second half. For that reason I'm confident that Bilal Powell will outscore Ivory in fantasy for the fourth straight week.

The Steelers score a ton of points. That's no secret. Because of Pittsburgh's offensive prowess, Boswell has thrived as the highest scoring fantasy kicker over the last month and is riding a streak on six straight games with double-digit fantasy points. He's punched through seven field goals of 40 yards or more in the last four weeks and should keep rolling against the Ravens on Sunday.

Pittsburgh has a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and despite surrendering 27 points to Denver on Sunday, the unit still posted a respectable 6.00 fantasy points. Pittsburgh's run defense, which has been solid all year, held Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson to just 62 combined rushing yards in the game. The Ravens offense is in a bad way right now, and only managed two touchdowns on Sunday with one coming on a miracle Hail Mary catch by Kamar Aiken.
