Fantasy Franchise Tag Lineup: Week 8
My nickname around the NFL Media office is "Franchise" and every week I deliver my "Fantasy Franchise Tag" lineup to help give you that boost of confidence you need to start some players on your fantasy roster. Be sure to check out my full positional player rankings, and if you're all up on the Twitter, be sure to send me some feedback @MattFranchise.

Fresh off back-to-back wins, Teddy Two Gloves will be looking to make it three in a row against the Bears on Sunday. He hasn't been a very consistent fantasy contributor this season but seems to finally be getting in a groove thanks to rookie wideout Stefon Diggs (see below). This week, I think the duo will be able to take advantage of a Chicago defense that ranks in the bottom 10 in terms of FPPG allowed to both QBs and WRs. After all, even Matthew Stafford was able to produce against the Bears (405 yards, 4 TDs, 33.90 fantasy points in week 6).

I included Ingram here because I'm the only one of our experts to have him ranked in my top seven RBs for the week. He's currently fantasy's RB2 for the season and has managed to produce both on the ground and in the passing game. Darren McFadden just shredded the Giants last week to the tune of 162 total yards and a score, and I can see Ingram producing a similar line against New York.

This is more of a gut call than anything else. Johnson led the Browns last week with seven receptions and has dominated the snap count among Cleveland RBs, as he's been on the field for 50 percent of his team's offensive plays. It's tough to run against the Cardinals, but I think Johnson will be able to collect a good amount of fantasy points through the air against them.

Vincent Jackson isn't likely to play as he deals with a knee injury. Louis Murphy was placed on IR earlier this week with a torn ACL. That leaves Mike Evans and ... Mike Evans to catch passes from Jameis Winston this week against Atlanta.

Smith was held to 78 yards against Arizona last week thanks to Patrick Peterson. But you can only hold the physical veteran down for so long before he breaks out again. He has already logged three games this season with 130 or more receiving yards. He's going to make it four against the Chargers on Sunday.

Dallas faces a Seattle unit this week that has allowed the second-most FPPG to tight ends, so Witten's stock is already trending in the right direction. Toss in the fact that the Seahawks may be consumed with trying to stop Dez Bryant who will likely make his return in Week 8, and that should leave plenty off opportunities for Witten to put up fantasy points.

The rookie wideout is having an amazing first run in the NFL as he is averaging 108 receiving yards in his first three games and has only looked better with each game. As Teddy Bridgewater's confidence in Diggs grows, expect the targets to increase (9.3 tgts per game) and the scoring chances to naturally fall into place. As I said above with Bridgewater, this QB-WR duo should be able to take advantage of a leaky Bears defense that surrendered 317 yards and three TDs to wideouts in Week 6.

The Falcons are at home this week against the Buccaneers. With Tampa Bay lacking options on offense, they'll likely have to force the ball to Mike Evans and Doug Martin. Atlanta is allowing just 78.6 rush yards per game so when Martin can't find any running lanes and Winston starts telegraphing the ball to Evans, I expect a few ugly turnovers.

Peyton Manning has thrown seven touchdown passes this season, while McManus has hit 16 field goals including four from the 50-yard plus range. The Broncos will have to score points somehow against Green Bay so I expect McManus to post his fourth-straight double-digit fantasy performance in Week 8.
