Fantasy Franchise Tag Lineup: Week 9
My nickname around the NFL Media office is "Franchise" and every week I deliver my "Fantasy Franchise Tag" lineup to help give you that boost of confidence you need to start some players on your fantasy roster. Be sure to check out my full positional player rankings, and if you're all up on the Twitter, be sure to send me some feedback @MattFranchise.

The Steelers held Dalton in check last week, limiting him to just 9.64 fantasy points. So the dude has some pent up frustration to unleash. He ranks first in the NFL this season in passes of over 25 yards, and with weapons like A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert lurking around, fantasy owners can expect Dalton to let it rip against an injury-ridden Browns secondary that has surrendered 15 touchdown passes this season.

I'm the highest of our expert rankers on Miller this week and have him ranked as my RB3, so why not give him a Franchise Tag? He has scored at least once in each of his last three games and is the third highest scoring running back in fantasy over the last four weeks behind only Devonta Freeman and Todd Gurley. The Dolphins runner is fourth in the NFL in yards per carry (5.5) and should bounce back nicely following a down game last week.

Revenge game anyone? Well that didn't turn out so well when Murray faced the Cowboys in Week 2 (5.50 fantasy points), but things have turned around for the former Dallas runner since then. Over his last three games, Murray has averaged 23.6 touches per game and collected 316 total yards and two touchdowns. He should be able to keep it going in Week 9, and with six teams on bye, you likely can't afford to bench him anyway.

In each of the two games since Jeffery returned from his hamstring injury, he's finished as a top 10 fantasy wide receiver. In those games he posted yardage totals of 147 and 116 while scoring a touchdown as well. And now that Matt Forte is out with a knee injury, the Bears may lean on their No. 1 wideout even more, especially against a Chargers defense that has allowed an average of 27.20 FPPG to wide receivers in the last two weeks. The Jay Cutler, Jeffery stack makes for a nice DFS move, too.

Allen Robinson will be on Revis Island. We know this. So that leaves Allen Hurns to pick up the slack against the Jets, just as Michael Crabtree and Andre Holmes did for the Raiders last week. Plus, over the last four weeks, the Jets have allowed five touchdowns and over 500 receiving yards to opposing wide receivers, so Hurns should be able to find room to produce.

Like Hurns above, Thomas should benefit from extra targets due to Allen Robinson's trip to Revis Island. He should be fully healthy following a week off, and I expect Blake Bortles to look his way often in this one, especially in the red zone.

With Khiry Robinson done for the year, expect C.J. Spiller's involvement to increase behind Mark Ingram. If for some reason he's still floating around your waiver wire, scoop him up before he has a blow-up game, which could come this week against a reeling Titans team that just fired its head coach.

The Bengals may not be the best defense in the NFL, but since the unit is facing a Cleveland team that leads the league in fumbles (17), fumbles lost (12) and is averaging just 18.6 first downs per game, Cincinnati is a solid streaming option at home as they look to remain undefeated in Week 9. Also, turnover-prone Johnny Manziel is starting at quarterback for Cleveland and the team is averaging just 84 rush yards per game.

Gano hit three clutch field goals last week, including a high-pressure, game-winning kick from wet turf that was over 50 yards in overtime. He's a solid option at home against Green Bay this week, in a game where Carolina will need to score often to keep pace with Aaron Rodgers and company.
