Fantasy Stock Watch: No more Jones'ing for this Green Bay running back
Ten. It is a comfort. It is easily multiplied and divided. It can represent a partial or a whole. It is a joy to behold and a pleasure to work with. Ten has a great personality and is an excellent dancer. It will never sugarcoat the truth but will also let you down gently. Ten also means that you only have a few weeks to get your fantasy life right for the playoffs. Let the Stock Watch be your ten.

'Member a few weeks ago when Jameis was practicing and doing everything but throwing? I 'member. Turns out that shoulders are important for throwing footballs. In this case, Winston's shoulder isn't quite up to par so the Buccaneers have decided to shut him down for a couple of weeks. The good news is that Ryan Fitzpatrick knows what he's doing with a football in his hands, which shouldn't completely scuttle your plans should you decide to start any of your Tampa Bay skill players.

Being a receiver drafted in the first round hasn't been a great gig over the past few seasons. Plenty of guys in that position have had rough starts to their careers. Count Davis among them. After missing much of the early part of the year, Davis is slowly being worked back into the rotation. Now the talk is that he should start seeing more snaps. Which could mean more opportunity. Which means ... huzzah? A healthy Davis is the best receiver on the Titans' roster, so this portends good news.

More than a year ago, Bridgewater suffered a horrific knee injury in practice that had some asking whether he'd even play football ever again. But here we are. Bridgewater is back at practice and will be active for this week's contest against Washington. When he returns to the starting job isn't 100 percent clear but it would seem to be sooner rather than later. This is the time to scoop and stash the young quarterback if you have the roster flexibility to do so.

This downgrade on Jones isn't because the Packers offense is suddenly bad. Although the Packers' offense IS suddenly bad. This is also because Ty Montgomery seems to be getting healthier and could be coming for some of Jones' snaps. Mike McCarthy is suggesting that Green Bay could go to more of a running back rotation with Montgomery handling the third down and pass-catching duties. You know what's not fun? Having a rotational back in a suddenly-bad offense. Blergh.

The Buffalo Bills have needed consistent pass-catchers like Vincent van Gogh needed his ear back. They traded for Kelvin Benjamin who will make his Bills debut this week. But even more exciting is the potential return of top tight end Charles Clay, who has missed the last three games with a knee injury. Everybody wins here -- Tyrod Taylor, the Bills, and people who are hurting at the fantasy tight end spot -- everyone except the poor souls who have to try and cover Clay. Not everything can be good for everyone, OK?

Mike Evans did a bad thing last week. Because Mike Evans did a bad thing last week, he won't be able to play this week. This means we could get our first extended look at Chris Godwin. The rookie from Penn State still haunts the dreams of USC fans after his phenomenal Rose Bowl outing last January. As a talented young receiver, he'll get to test his mettle against a mediocre Jets secondary. He's a deep sleeper at best this week but this could be an interesting audition for those in dynasty leagues or already looking ahead to next year.

I'm no genius about these sorts of things but having more fumbles than touchdowns seems like a bad thing. Yet through the first nine weeks of the season, that's Stewart's lot in life. If that wasn't bad enough, Carolina is starting to feature Christian McCaffrey more and Cam Newton (arguably the team's best rusher) is starting to exert his will on the ground yet again. If it feels like the walls are closing in, maybe they are.

Stop me if you've heard this one but Tom Savage isn't playing very well right now. The Texans hand was sort of forced after Deshaun Watson went down with a season-ending injury. Alas, Bill O'Brien is exploring other options -- namely giving T.J. Yates some of the first-team snaps in practice this week. The Notorious B.O.B. says we shouldn't read too much into it. He doesn't know us very well, does he? This seems like a big signal that the leash on Savage is getting shorter.

Fantasy football is about to get a whole lot grittier. Danny Woodhead is getting back to work with an eye toward returning to the field very soon. Woodhead is saying that he's not 100 percent sure if he'll be available after Baltimore's Week 10 bye but it could be shortly thereafter. He'll be a boon to a Ravens passing game that has been stuck in reverse for much of the season and should be a boost to plenty of fantasy rosters. Especially those of the PPR variety.

We began this odyssey with Jameis Winston's shoulder and end it with Chris Hogan's shoulder. Turns out, shoulders are important when needing to raise one's arm to catch a football. For the time being it appears that Hogan isn't able to do that well enough to catch passes from Tom Brady. The downside is that the Pats will be without the man who is tied for the team lead in touchdown receptions. The upside for fantasy managers is that you won't have to stress over starting him against the Broncos. Silver linings.
