Fantasy Stock Watch: Week 10
Week 10 and the playoffs approacheth. We're down to the final month of the fantasy regular season in most leagues and the chances to make a postseason run are dwindling for many of you. This also happens to be #SaveYourSeason week on "NFL Fantasy Live", "Fantasy and Friends" and our various social media channels, so let's allow the Stock Watch to join in on the fun. Check out the names that may or may not help you reach the ultimate goal of a fantasy championship.

After Charcandrick West disappointed last week, plenty of fantasy managers have to be excited to see Ware out of the concussion protocol and potentially ready to roll this week against the Panthers. That's the good news. The bad news is that Carolina hasn't offered much hospitality to running backs this season, allowing just one 100-yard rusher. Ware's best bet to succeed this week will have to be as a receiver.

This could put an end to all of the recent hoopla over Montgomery's positional eligibility in fantasy. The multi-talented Packer is likely to see his time as a running back come to an end -- or at least be significantly deemphasized -- now that James Starks looks set to return this week. Montgomery has proven that he's worthy of still being a part of the Green Bay offense going forward, but it doesn't look like his primary responsiblities will be in the backfield.

We haven't had much to do with Doug Martin since he left Tampa's Week 2 game with a hamstring injury. Of course, we were here just a couple of weeks ago when it looked like the Douggernaut was ready to get back to action before suffering a setback. It's been so far, so good with Martin at practice, so we remain hopeful of no false starts this week with Sunday's matchup against Chicago upcoming.

We were hoping that Hyde's shoulder injury would be a limited issue, but it appears that it could drag into yet another week. The Niners running back was in a blue non-contact jersey earlier in the week, casting into doubt his availability for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. The matchup isn't great, but Hyde has found success in tough matchups before. If he can't go, San Francisco will once again deploy a heavy dose of DuJuan Harris.

It hasn't been a great year for Jeremy Maclin. The Chiefs receiver hasn't posed much of a threat in a moribund passing game and now is dealing with a groin injury that will likely keep him out of this week's game against Carolina. That's unfortunate because on paper, the matchup is favorable. Then again, we've seen the Chiefs passing game under Alex Smith fail repeatedly to prosper in these situations. Anyway, Tyreek Hill y'all.

Speaking of talented wide receivers whose offenses won't allow them to be great ... ladies and gentlemen, Jarvis Landry. The Dolphins wideout has two games with just three receptions, has barely sniffed 100 yards since Week 3 and has scored just one touchdown. Finally someone in Miami has taken notice. Offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen says the team needs to run more plays for Landry. If he can work his way through a shoulder issue to play on Sunday, we'll see if the Dolphins can make good on that.

This isn't some sort of questioning of Evans' ability, production or status in the Buccaneers' offense. This is more of a chance for us to drop some "huzzahs!" at the news that he's out of the league's concussion protocol and looks on track to play this week against the Bears. Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! Okay, I'm done.

While Evans is out of the protocol and set to play this week, things aren't quite as clear for Allen Hurns. The Jaguars receiver was a limited participant in practice on Thursday and still has a number of steps to go through in order to be ready for Sunday's game against the Texans. It would be a blow to an already beleaguered passing game as Hurns has been an occasional bright spot in the lineup. If he can't go, more targets could get funneled to both Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee.

This hasn't quite been the Year of the Rookie Tight End, but we have unearthed a couple of jewels for the future in Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper. The Falcons young tight end should get another chance to shine this week with Jacob Tamme expected to miss Sunday's game against the Eagles with a shoulder injury. The matchup might not be great, but there's a chance for Hooper to see some volume -- especially around the goal line.

Rawls isn't suddenly expected to suit up and play this week against the Patriots, but next week's game against the Eagles is looking like a real possibility. If you have the roster space, this is the time to pick up and stash Rawls. Be aware that he'll be in a committee once he finally returns, but he should find a way to earn a decent number of touches down the stretch.
