Fantasy Stock Watch: Week 11
Much like an adolescent coming of age, the 2017 NFL season has reached pre-teen status. And much like a petulant child, this year's fantasy campaign has been unruly, unpredictable and generally uncooperative. Unlike a sour juvenile, you can't take away the fantasy season's phone or put it on timeout. Instead, you should let the Stock Watch offer gentle correction in Week 11.

It's over. It's finally over. You no longer need to use all of the legalese you learned from "Law and Order" reruns when facing questions about the Cowboys running back. That's the good news. The bad news is that you'll be without him until Week 16 -- aka the Fantasy Super Bowl. If you can absorb the roster hit, keep Elliott. Most people won't be so lucky. Either way, Elliott won't be around to help most of you until next season.

Wednesday was a sad day in the Fantasy Stronghold when we learned of Taylor's benching in favor of Nathan Peterman. Who knows when (or if) we'll see Tyrod back on the field for the Bills ever again? Please respect that we are in a period of fantasy mourning. In lieu of cards, please offer a streaming quarterback currently living on the waiver wire a home on your fantasy football roster.

You might remember Bruce Ellington as the "San Francisco 49er most likely to succeed in 2015". Of course, that went out the window when he suffered a season-ending injury during the preseason. This year in Houston, he's been able to slowly work his way into a nice role as the Texans slot receiver. It's a role that has been growing with Will Fuller nursing an injury of his own. Fuller's out again this week so Ellington could see more targets.

Things are generally bad in the Green Bay offense. The attack has sputtered with Brett Hundley under center and injuries have piled up. The latest came to running backs Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery. Montgomery's status isn't fully known but even if he suits up, he'll be playing with tender ribs. Enter Jamaal Williams. The rookie was solid, if unspectacular, in grounding out hard yards last week against Chicago. This week's matchup against Baltimore is a poor one but his potential volume makes him worth at least a flex play.

Yes, I know he's the Vikings starting quarterback ... but for how long? There were serious rumblings that Mike Zimmer was going to turn to Teddy Bridgewater to face the Rams this week. It was likely Keenum's big game last week that kept him in the driver's seat. Yet if there really was that much deliberation in the Vikings camp about changing quarterbacks, Keenum's days as Minnesota's QB1 are numbered.

I'm not going to come out and say that this is going to be a Doug Martin blowup week but there is plenty of reason to be optimistic about the Bucs back in Week 11. He's facing a Dolphins defense that has been less-than-good against the run this season and has been particularly ungood against fantasy running backs over the past month. Then there's also the point of order that Tampa's coaches have acknowledged that Martin needs to get more touches -- something that could become an imperative with Ryan Fitzpatrick making another start.

By now, you've noticed that Cohen hasn't been as prominent in the Bears offense as he was earlier in the season. According to head coach John Fox, the issue has been Cohen's work in pass production. Namely, it hasn't been great. Because of that, Benny Cunningham is starting to see more work on third down and has been a fairly explosive option when he's had touches. That could very well spell the end of Cohen's fantasy relevance in 2017.

Speaking of fantasy relevance fading ... the Ravens hope to get Danny Woodhead back this week while Terrance West is getting healthier as well. With Alex Collins doing his best to seize opportunity as Baltimore's straight-ahead running back, Allen's slice of the offensive pie is going to get continually smaller. That's bad news on it's own. It's even worse news in the confines of a bad offense.

It's time to crank up the Samaje Perine hype train one more time. This time, you can expect the hype to be decidedly more muted than it was the last couple of times it left the station. That's because Washington has shown repeatedly that it can not run the football. But with Rob Kelley on injured reserve, it's Perine's turn once again to try and see if he can crack this riddle. The prospects aren't exciting but, hey ... some opportunity is better than none.

Speaking of some opportunity ... Blaine Gabbert could be starting again. We can sit here and quibble about whether or not Gabbert is better than the injured Drew Stanton. But unless you're in a two-QB league or in some sort of insane 20-team league, you're not considering Gabbert as your starter this week. Blaine, all we ask is that you throw the ball to Larry Fitzgerald repeatedly. Please and thank you.
