Fantasy Winners & Losers
There's been a lot of chatter about fantasy free agents -- we've covered all the big offensive names in our fantasy tracker -- but what about the players who have seen their value rise or fall as a result of their team's offseason moves? Well, there's been plenty of collateral damage, both good and bad, from a fantasy perspective. Here's a quick overview of how player movement will affect how you draft your fantasy team in 2013.

Manning finished sixth in fantasy points among all players last season, throwing for 4,659 yards and 37 touchdowns -- and that was without the newly signed Wes Welker at his disposal. Now the main man in a pass attack that has three stars in Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker, Manning's value has risen this offseason. He'll be one of the first five quarterbacks selected in 2013 fantasy football drafts.

Will he or won't he remain with the Raiders? That's the question surrounding Palmer, who is owed $13 million for the 2013 season. If he remains with the franchise, Palmer will have to compete with Pryor for the top spot on the depth chart in an offense with few weapons in the pass attack outside of Moore. In the event that Palmer is released, can he find a new starting role? Maybe the Cardinals? Stay tuned.

The 10th-rated quarterback based on fantasy points last season, Wilson is going to be in a position to improve on that ranking during his sophomore campaign. Not only will he continue to have a beast in the backfield in Marshawn Lynch, but Wilson now has one of the league's top playmaking wide receivers in Percy Harvin in the passing game. I'd look for this Seahawks offense to be very explosive in 2013.

While I like Big Ben to have a solid 2013 season, you can't help but think that the Steelers are still going to be thin in their passing game. Sure, Emmanuel Sanders has some upside -- but there's not too much else to like with Mike Wallace (Dolphins) gone and Heath Miller's status in question after a major knee reconstruction. All of this doesn't bode well for a bounce-back season for Roethlisberger.

Miller barely even sniffed the gridiron as a rookie, carrying the football just 51 times with Reggie Bush ahead of him on the depth chart. With Bush now in Detroit, however, there's going to be a changing of the backfield guard in South Florida next season. The Miami back will have sleeper written all over him if he can secure a starting role in the offense of coach Joe Philbin. Miller is a player to watch.

Remember when Johnson was considered one of the elite running backs in fantasy football? Well, those days are gone. He's rushed for a respectable average of 1,145 yards in the past two seasons, but he's also scored just 10 touchdowns in that time -- CJ2K had 25 rushing scores in the previous two years combined. With Shonn Greene now in the mix, it's hard to call Johnson more than a No. 2 fantasy runner.

The departure of Steven Jackson (Falcons) was good for the value of Richardson, who will be allowed every chance to seize the vacated top spot on the depth chart. He showed flashes of potential at times as a rookie, rushing for 475 yards while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. As long as he can hold off fellow second-year runner Isaiah Pead, Richardson will be a popular fantasy sleeper when it's time to draft.

Leshoure, who missed the first two games of the 2012 campaign, still finished with nine touchdowns and ranked 20th in fantasy points among running backs. Unfortunately, his touches are guaranteed to decline with the addition of Bush. In fact, the versatile runner out of Southern California is likely the favorite to start. That leaves it tough to draft Leshoure as anything more than a No. 4 runner in standard formats.

Another in a long list of young runners with upside for 2013, Wilson is in line to open the 2013 season as the starting running back for Big Blue after the release of Ahmad Bradshaw. An explosive playmaker, the Virginia Tech product will be in a good position to succeed -- even if he does lose some short-yardage and goal-line work to Andre Brown. Wilson has the look of a potential No. 2 fantasy running back.

Mathews was a colossal bust last season, finishing 30th in fantasy points among running backs while finding the end zone just one time. The addition of Danny Woodhead and re-signing of Ronnie Brown is a very clear indication that Mathews won't be a true featured back in 2013. That scenario, combined with his evident proneness to injury, makes Mathews no more than a risk-reward flex starter in drafts.

Bowe is coming off a dreadful season in the stat sheets, posting just 801 yards, three touchdowns and a meager 96.10 fantasy points. I think he'll bounce back in 2013, though, as new coach Andy Reid loves to throw the football. Furthermore, Bowe will have an upgraded quarterback in Alex Smith at the helm of the offense. If you can land him as a No. 3 fantasy wideout, Bowe could turn into a real bargain.

Williams has been a member of the Cardinals for two years, and during those two years he has played in just five games due to injuries. So while new coach Bruce Arians has praised him for his skills, Williams is tough to trust even at the age of 22. Want another reason to avoid Williams in a prominent fantasy role? Arians likes to use a featured back, and that back is more likely to be Rashard Mendenhall.

Here's another case of addition by subtraction -- the Steelers lose Mike Wallace (Dolphins) as a free agent, leaving Brown to become the top man in the pass attack for Ben Roethlisberger. A former 1,000-yard wide receiver, the Central Michigan product will have more than his share of opportunities to improve on his mediocre 2012 totals. He'll be a third fantasy wideout with upside in the middle rounds.

I'm not saying that Decker will be a complete and utter bust in 2013, but fantasy owners have to expect at least somewhat of a decline in his numbers with Welker now in the mix. Keep in mind, only five teams in the history of the NFL have fielded three 1,000-yard wideouts in a single season. So while it's not an impossible scenario, it's also not a likely one. Consider Decker more of a No. 2 fantasy wideout.

I already had a fantasy man-crush on Cobb, and it got a kickstart when Greg Jennings signed with the Minnesota Vikings. That leaves the Kentucky product as one of the top options in the passing game for star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Now entering his third season at the pro level, Cobb has breakout candidate written all over him -- don't be surprised if he's drafted as high as the third round in 2013.

If the NFL season started tomorrow, the Cardinals would be starting Drew Stanton at the quarterback position. Drew Stanton! Sorry, but that doesn't exactly excite me when it comes to Fitzgerald's chances of bouncing back from a dreadful 2012 campaign. Unless the team adds an upgrade at quarterback (Palmer?), Fitzgerald will have a tough time getting back to his previous elite fantasy status.

Moore, also entering his third NFL campaign, will be in a tremendous position to find statistical success. The Raiders have released Darrius Heyward-Bey and lost Brandon Myers, who signed a free-agent deal with the New York Giants. That leaves Moore as the top option in the passing game for the eventual starting quarterback -- Carson Palmer or Terrelle Pryor. Draft him as a No. 3 or 4 wideout with upside.

Powell was quickly considered a potential fantasy sleeper once the Jets decided to part company with Greene. That situation lasted a New York minute, though, as the Men in Green added Mike Goodson to compete for the top spot on the team's depth chart. In fact, I would consider Goodson the favorite to start at this point in time. Regardless, Powell's value took a tumble once the Jets brought in competition.

This could be a make-or-break fantasy season for Smith, who has been anything but consistent in his first two pro seasons. But with Anquan Boldin (49ers) now out of the mix and no other legitimate wideouts to push him for targets, the Maryland product will be in line to have his best statistical campaign. He's worth a middle-round look as a No. 3 wideout who could produce on a No. 2-level moving forward.

A popular deep fantasy sleeper in 2012, Rodgers hauled in an impressive 53 passes and finished with close to 800 scrimmage yards. Still, he wasn't even among the top 35 runners based on fantasy points in standard leagues. With Jackson now entrenched as the starter, Rodgers isn't going to see an increase in opportunities in the offense. In fact, he'll have just late-round appeal in non-PPR leagues.
