This is an undated photo of athlete Jim Thorpe, the Carlisle back of the Carlisle Indian School in 1907-1908 and 1911-1912. He was also the unanimous selection to the all-time early day college team and was consensus All-American in 1911-12. After the 1912 Olympic games in Stockholm, Sweden, where he won 2 gold medals for the pentathlon and the decathlon, King Gustave V of Sweden declared Thorpe the "greatest athlete in the world."
