Manning and Favre milestone touchdowns
Peyton Manning just broke Brett Favre's record for most touchdown passes in NFL history. We look back at some of their milestone moments.

In Week 3 of the 1992 season, 22-year-old Brett Favre throws his first career touchdown pass to wide receiver Sterling Sharpe. Favre leads the Packers to a 24-23 comeback win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

In Week 1 of the 1998 season, Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Peyton Manning throws his first career touchdown pass to wide receiver Marvin Harrison in the fourth quarter of 24-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Favre hits the 100-touchdown milestone mark in a Week 14 matchup against the Bengals in 1995. It's a 14 yard pass to running back Edgar Bennett.

In Week 9, 2001, Manning hits Marvin Harrison for an 11-yard touchdown pass that gives him 100 career touchdown passes. Like his first touchdown pass, this one also comes against the Miami Dolphins in a home loss.

In Week 11, 1998, Favre reaches 200 career touchdown passes when he connects with tight end Tyrone Davis in the first quarter. The Packers would go on to blow out the New York Giants at the Meadowlands, 37-3.

In Week 11, 2004, Manning reaches the 200-touchdown milestone when he hits wide receiver Reggie Wayne for a 35-yard touchdown. The Colts blow out the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, 41-10.

Favre hits the 300 mark in 2002 during a Week 6 matchup against the Patriots in New England when he hits Ahman Green for an 8-yard touchdown. Favre's Packers win, 28-10.

Manning's 300th touchdown pass comes in 2007 against the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 14 matchup. Manning finds Joseph Addai for a 19 yard touchdown in the first quarter, and the Colts go on to win 44-20.

In Week 3, 2006 at Detroit, Favre hits Greg Jennings for a 75-yard touchdown in the first quarter to reach 400 career touchdown passes. The Packers would go on to win the game, 31-24.

Manning's first touchdown pass as a member of the Denver Broncos is also the 400th of his career. It comes on a 71-yard pass to wide receiver Demaryius Thomas in Week 1 of the 2012 season. Manning's Broncos go on to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-19.

As a member of the Minnesota Vikings, Favre throws his 500th touchdown pass against his (other) former team, the New York Jets, in a Week 5 matchup. Favre becomes the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 500 touchdown passes.

In Week 5, 2014, Manning joins Brett Favre as one of only two quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for 500 career touchdowns. Manning's milestone comes on a 7-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter to tight end Julius Thomas.

Favre's final touchdown pass comes against the Chicago Bears in Week 15 of the 2010 season. It's a 23-yard pass to wide receiver Percy Harvin.

509: The record breaker. With a second quarter touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas in Week 7, Manning breaks Brett Favre's NFL record for touchdown passes with his 509 TD pass eclipsing Favre's previous record of 508.
