Mind-blowing stats for Matt Ryan and Julio Jones
With their victory over the Panthers, the Falcons are now first place in the NFC South. Take a look at the mind-blowing stats behind Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.

With their victory over the Panthers, the Falcons are now first place in the NFC South. Atlanta has not won the NFC South since 2012.

The Falcons had 571 total yards of offense (481 passing, 90 rushing), setting two single-game franchise records for total offense and passing yards.

Atlanta is the first team in NFL history to have a 500-yard passer (Matt Ryan with 503 passing yards) and a 300-yard receiver (Julio Jones with 300 receiving yards) in the same game.

Matt Ryan threw 28/37, 503 passing yards, four touchdowns, one interception and had a 142.0 passer rating. He set a career high in passing yards and tied his career high in touchdown passes. It was the 19th 500-yard passing game in NFL history.

Julio Jones became the 4th player in the Super Bowl era to have 300+ receiving yards in a game. The last 300-yard receiver was Calvin Johnson, who had 329 yards against the Cowboys in 2013.

Julio Jones had better numbers in Week 4 than he did in his first three games combined. Over his first three games this season, he had 20 targets, 10 receptions, 188 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Against the Panthers, he was targeted 15 times, had 12 receptions, 300 yards and one touchdown.
