Mind-blowing stats for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is upon us and brings us three games. Can Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys keep his prefect record against teams with 9 wins or more to start the season in Thursday matchup against the undefeated Carolina Panthers?

Teams with 3-or-fewer wins, like the Cowboys, have faced teams with a 10-0 or better records, like the Panthers, 11 times in NFL history. Those teams are 1-10. The only team with 3 or fewer wins to get a victory was Jim Everett's 1990 Rams (3-7), who defeated Joe Montana's 49ers, 28-17.

Tony Romo is the only starting QB in NFL history to defeat two opponents who entered the game at 9-0 or better. Week 15, 2009, Romos 8-5 Cowboys beat the 13-0 Saints, 24-17. Week 11, 2006, Romos 5-4 Cowboys beat the 9-0 Colts, 21-14. Five Super Bowl-winning QBs -- Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger -- are a combined 2-5 vs opponents 9-0 or better.

Calvin Johnson has 3 straight 100-yard games on Thanksgiving, and 6 straight Thanksgiving games with a TD.

Although Mark Sanchez and Thanksgiving will always be associated with 2012's Butt Fumble, Sanchez has a winning record in 3 career starts on the holiday (2-1). In that infamous 49-19 loss to the Patriots, Sanchez's numbers were extremely strong: he went 26-for-36, for 301 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and a 94.8 passer rating.

Aaron Rodgers has won 11 of 12 head-to-head meetings against Jay Cutler, including playoff games. Cutler's only win came in Week 3, 2010.

The Cowboys' Thanksgiving win pct of .628 (29-17-1) is .60 points higher than their win pct in all other games (.568). The Lions' Thanksgiving win pct of .480 (35-38-2) is .25 points higher than their win pct in all other games (.455).

The Bears are 16-15-2 on Thanksgiving Day and lost the last four straight. Their last win on Thanksgiving came in 1993 over the Lions.
