Mind-blowing stats for the 2016 NFL Draft
One college quarterback could be setting a new record on Thursday if he's selected in the first round, and a few teams will be super busy this week with their picks. Find out the quarterback and who will be the busiest teams with these mind-blowing stats.

Carson Wentz (North Dakota State) could become the 5th non-FBS quarterback selected in the first round since 1979 (when the FBS and FCS split). Three of the previous four (Joe Flacco, Delaware; Steve McNair, Alcorn State; Phil Simms, Morehead State) had winning records as NFL starters, with Ken O'Brien (UC Davis) the only non-FBS first round QB to finish his career with a losing record (50-59-1).

Laquon Treadwell could join a short, distinguished list of Ole Miss players selected in the Top 15 since 1970. The only Ole Miss players taken in that range are Patrick Willis (selected 11th overall in 2007 by the 49ers), Eli Manning (1st overall in 2004 by the Chargers, then sent to the Giants), and Archie Manning (2nd overall in 1971 by the Saints).

Between the 2006 and 2014 Drafts, there were 10 quarterback who were selected by teams trading up in the first round. Only 2 of those 10 QBs -- Joe Flacco (2008) and Teddy Bridgewater (2014) -- are still starting for the team that selected them. The other 8 QBs who were selected by teams who traded up include: Johnny Manziel (2014), Robert Griffin III (2012), Blaine Gabbert (2011), Tim Tebow (2010), Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman (2009), Brady Quinn (2007) and Jay Cutler (2006).

Which team will be busiest Thursday through Saturday? The Browns and 49ers are tied for the most overall selections with 12. Even though they are without a first-round pick, the Patriots rank second with a total of 11 picks on Friday and Saturday.

Louisiana Tech DT Vernon Butler can become the first defensive player in school history to be drafted in the first round. Jones hopes to join Terry Bradshaw (1970), Roger Carr (1974), Willie Roaf (1993) and Troy Edwards (1999), as the only Louisiana Tech players to be selected in the first round since 1967.

The Denver Broncos will have the honor of selecting this year's "Mr. Irrelevant" with the 253rd pick. 2016 marks the 41st year of the Mr. Irrelevant tradition. 2015's Mr. Irrelevant was Gerald Christian, a tight end from Louisville, who was selected by the Cardinals. Christian did not catch a pass in his rookie season.

If Alabama has a player selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Crimson Tide will surpass Pittsburgh (1983-1989), Ohio State (1991-1997) and Florida (1997-2003) for the third-longest consecutive streak of players drafted in the first round since the advent of the common draft in 1967. They currently have seven consecutive drafts with at least one first round pick.

Miami (1995-2008) holds the longest streak with 14 consecutive drafts having at least one player selected in the first round.
