Mind-blowing stats for the Dallas Cowboys
Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett has the only 99-yard run in NFL history. It came at the Minnesota Vikings on January 3, 1983 under some unique circumstances. Will any other NFL player be able to break Dorsett's 99-yard run record, or will he remain the only one in history to do it. Find out this and more with these mind-blowing stats.

Emmitt Smith had an NFL-record 11 consecutive seasons with 1,000 yards from 1991-2001. Over his career, Smith accounted for nearly half (13 seasons) of the Cowboys' 25 individual rushing seasons with 1,000 yards. Since Smith left Dallas, the Cowboys have had only two 1,000-yard rushers: Julius Jones (2006) and DeMarco Murray (2013-2014).

In 1995, Michael Irvin had 1,603 receiving yards and Emmitt Smith rushed for 1,773 yards. They are the only running back-wide receiver combo to individually put up 1,600 yards in a single season. Both Smith and Irvin had eleven 100-yard games that season. Irvin's total set the single season record for a receiver, a record that wasn't matched until Calvin Johnson did so in 2012. The Cowboys finished the 1995 season with their fifth Super Bowl victory, defeating the Steelers 27-17 in Super Bowl XXX.

Hall of Famer Roger Staubach led the NFL in passer rating (104.8) during his first full season as the Cowboys starting quarterback in 1971, a season in which the franchise captured their first Super Bowl with a 24-3 win over the Miami Dolphins. Staubach's impressive passer rating in 1971 would have ranked third in the NFL last season behind only another Cowboys quarterback in Tony Romo (113.2) and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (112.2). The list of quarterbacks who have never had a passer rating that high includes Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Dan Fouts and Jim Kelly.

Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett has the only 99-yard run in NFL history. It came at the Minnesota Vikings on January 3, 1983 under some unique circumstances. First, it was on Monday Night Football, meaning the entire nation was watching. Second, the game was the final one of the entire strike-shortened 1982 season. Dorsett rushed for 153 yards in that game, but finished just short of the rushing title during the 9-game season with 745 yards, behind only Freeman McNeil and his 786 yards for the New York Jets.

Tony Romo is 75-48 in his career as a starter. He has 10 career games in which he has thrown 3+ INT, and the Cowboys are 1-9 in those games. In fact, Romo has thrown multiple INT in 22 career games as a starter, and the Cowboys are 5-17 in those games. The good news -- Romo is 70-31 as a starter when he throws 1 or fewer INT.

Dez Bryant has played 75 games in his career. In those 75 games, Bryant has 381 receptions for 5,424 yards and 56 TD. Those numbers are actually better than Hall of Famer Michael Irvin. Through his first 75 games, Irvin had 309 receptions for 5,285 yards and 29 TD.

On September 21, 1998, Deion Sanders had a performance for the ages in the Meadowlands during the Cowboys 31-7 win over the Giants. Prime became the only player in NFL history to return a punt for a TD, return an INT for a TD and catch a pass in the same game. He returned a punt 59 yards for a TD, returned an interception 71 yards for a TD and caught a 55-yard pass from current Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. Fittingly, Primetime did all this in primetime, with the nation watching on Monday Night Football.

When one thinks of the all-time great tight ends, players such as Tony Gonzalez, Shannon Sharpe, and Antonio Gates come to mind. But Jason Witten has put together a remarkable career with the Cowboys. His 943 receptions and 10,502 receiving yards are second all-time among tight ends behind only Tony Gonzalez. His 110 receptions in 2012 set a record for receptions in a season by a tight end.
